Who is Derick Daly?

 Derick Daly is an influential entrepreneur and community leader based in Easton, Maryland. He is recognized for his extensive contributions to both for-profit and nonprofit sectors. Co-founding Building African American Minds (BAAM) with his wife, Dina, he has dedicated his efforts to  empowering at-risk African American youth through educational support and character development programs. 


With degrees in accounting and an MBA, Derick has successfully applied his business expertise in various fields, including real estate development and community initiatives, notably through Polaris Village Ministries , where he leads educational projects and affordable housing efforts. Inspired by his upbringing and commitment to family and community values, he emphasizes integrity and accountability in his work. 


Over his career, he has established multiple ventures, such as  NAIMA Ventures and Aspire Daly Inc., creating a network that addresses local needs while fostering economic growth. His initiatives have significantly improved educational opportunities and contributed to the local economy. Biography

Derick Daly was born in Boston and later relocated to the Eastern Shore of Maryland. He worked as an accountant for over 25 years before dedicating himself to community projects. He is currently the President, a Trustee and a co-founder of Polaris Village Ministries, Inc. (PVM). Prior to that he served as the Executive Director of Building African American Minds (BAAM), Inc. 


He retired in 2017 from Orion Safety Products located, in Easton, MD where he ended his accounting career as a Controller. Mr. Daly graduated from Suffolk University in Boston, Massachusetts where he received his bachelor’s degree in accounting. He later attended Wilmington University in Delaware and attained a master’s degree in business administration (MBA). 


Mr. Daly has volunteered his time and talent while participating in many community organizations. He served as treasurer for the United Fund of Talbot County, a member of the Rotary Club of Easton, served on the Board of Trustees for the Academy Art Museum and the Mid-Shore Community Foundation. Derick Daly is the president and chairman of Aspire Daly, Inc, CEO of JACK Resources, Treasurer of Naima Ventures, LLC, CEO of Inspo Productions, LLC, a member of Aspire Outdoors, LLC, and Treasurer of Feed International Corp. 

Personal Life

Derick is married to Dina Daly, who is actively involved in his community projects, currently serving as the Executive Director of BAAM. (BAAM Celebrates 20 Years with Opening of New Academic Center - Talbot County Economic Development) He emphasizes the importance of family and community values, 

inspired by his upbringing with a minister father, Rev. Joseph Daly. 


Derick says that his mother, Edith Daly, also a strong believer in Christ, is the cornerstone of his inspiration and values, instilling in him the importance of integrity, hard work, and compassion for others. He would like to express gratitude for his parents’ unwavering support and guidance, which shaped his commitment to our community. His personal philosophy emphasizes integrity and accountability, reflected in his advice to young entrepreneurs.
